Terms and conditions

1. Age and driving licence

The renter must hold a valid driving licence for the entire rental period and must have held it for at least 2 years. Age requirements per car: • Kia Picanto, Suzuki Celerio and Toyota Aygo: 21 to 75 years • Isuzu pickup: 25 to 70 years • Land Rover Discovery: 25 to 70 years

2. Deposit

A deposit is required at pick-up: • Kia Picanto / Suzuki Celerio / Toyota Aygo: €300–€500 • Isuzu pickup: €500–€750 • Land Rover Discovery: €750–€1,000 The deposit is refunded after the rental, once the car has been inspected and any damage, fines or other costs have been settled.

3. Insurance and excess

The car is insured during the rental period according to the chosen coverage. The renter is responsible for the agreed excess, for example: • Small cars: €500 • Pickup: €750 • Land Rover Discovery: €1,000 The excess can optionally be reduced for a fee. Extra insurance is possible; the costs will be determined later.

4. Additional driver and child seat

An additional driver must be registered in advance and approved by the lessor. The additional driver meets the same age requirements and holds a valid driving licence. An additional driver costs €5 per day, a child seat costs €5 per day. Both can be selected when booking.

5. Use of the car

The car may only be used for normal road traffic. It is not permitted to: • use the car for races or competitions; • drive off-road, unless previously permitted in writing; • sublet the car; • transport dangerous goods; • use the car for commercial activities without permission. With the Isuzu pickup, transporting normal goods may be permitted, provided the maximum load is not exceeded.

6. Fuel

The car is delivered with an agreed fuel level and must be returned with the same level. Received full means return full. Otherwise the missing fuel plus a service fee will be charged.

7. Mileage limit

200 km per day are included. Extra kilometres cost €0.20–€0.30 per km. A more attractive mileage package may be offered for longer rentals.

8. Pick-up and return

The car can be collected and returned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pick-up and drop-off at the airport is free. The car is collected and returned at the agreed time and location. A surcharge may be charged for late returns.

9. Damage at pick-up

At pick-up the car is inspected together with the renter. Existing damage is recorded beforehand with: • photos; • odometer reading; • fuel level; • any remarks. New damage must be reported to the lessor immediately.

10. Traffic fines

All traffic fines, parking fines and other costs incurred during the rental period are for the renter's account. Administration costs for processing a fine may be charged separately.

11. Smoking

Smoking in the rental car is not allowed. In case of violation a cleaning fee of €150 may be charged.

12. Pets

Pets are only allowed with prior permission. The car must be returned clean. Extra cleaning costs may be charged where necessary.

13. Breakdown and accidents

In case of a breakdown or accident the renter must contact the lessor as soon as possible. In case of an accident the renter must: • secure the car; • call the police if necessary; • not admit liability on behalf of the lessor; • take photos of the situation; • contact the lessor immediately.

14. Security and liability

The renter remains responsible for damage not covered by the insurance or these terms. The deposit may be used for: • damage; • missing fuel; • extra kilometres; • fines; • lost keys; • damaged or lost accessories; • extra cleaning.

15. Lost key

If the car key is lost or damaged, the costs of replacement and any programming are for the renter's account.

16. Cancellation

The following cancellation terms apply: • 30 days or more before the start: the full deposit (20%) is refunded; • 15–30 days before the start: 50% of the deposit is refunded; • 8–14 days before the start: the deposit is not refunded; • 0–7 days before the start: 100% of the rental price is due; • No-show: 100% of the rental price is due.

17. Identification

At pick-up the renter must present: • a valid driving licence; • a valid passport or ID; • booking details; • proof of residence, if requested.

18. Price and payment

The rental price differs per season (low and high season) and is calculated per day, as shown in the summary while booking. When booking you pay a deposit of 20% of the rental price. You pay the rest at the latest two weeks before the rental starts. If the rental starts within two weeks, you pay the full amount immediately. Payment is made online via a payment link from our payment provider Sentoo, with your bank or credit card. A booking is final once the deposit has been received.

19. Inspection on return

On return the car is checked for: • new damage; • odometer reading; • fuel level; • interior; • accessories; • keys. If the car is returned without new damage and there are no outstanding costs, the deposit is released.

20. Governing law

The rental agreement is governed by the applicable laws of Curaçao. In the event of a dispute, renter and lessor will first try to reach a solution together.
